O-Train Lines 2 & 4 begin a phased opening on January 6, 2025

Big changes are coming to Ottawa's transit system!

Here's what to expect:

  • Phased launch: Lines 2 & 4 will open in 3 phases, starting with weekday service for at least 2 weeks, then expanding in phases to seven days a week.
  • More stations & new connections: 11 new stations, plus access to Carleton University and Park & Ride spots.
  • Airport access: Direct train service to the Ottawa International Airport.
  • Increased capacity: Lines 2/4 trains carry up to 420/260 passengers, with larger platforms for easier boarding.

New ways to bus are coming to Ottawa!

OC Transpo’s new bus network will focus on frequency, local service in your neighbourhood, and connections to O-Train Lines 1 and 2 and key destinations.

New Ways to Bus is about responding to changes in customers’ travel needs and ridership levels. It will significantly change OC Transpo’s bus network and is a big step towards meeting our service reliability target of 99.5 per cent.
