Mooney's Bay is a popular summer destination for swimmers, rowers, and volleyball players. The beach and playground are located on the east shore of the Rideau River south of Hog's Back Park (Hog's Back Road) and north of Walkley Road.

Mooney's Bay Beach plays host every year to the Tim Hortons Dragon Boat Festival and free concerts, as well as the HOPE Volleyball Summerfest, and more.

The beach and park are served by routes 90 190

Mooney's Bay O-Train Station is located a short walk north of the beach at Heron Road and Bronson Avenue, and is served by routes 2 B2 10 88 90 111 190 290 646 689
