As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project and the Revitalizing Richmond Road projects, changes are being made to pedestrian crossings at New Orchard Avenue North and Richmond Road because traffic configuration is changing in the area.
What:    
Pedestrians crossing at New Orchard Avenue North and Richmond Road will be crossing at the westernmost crosswalk as the easternmost crosswalk will be closed.
When:    
Starting as early as November 24.
Why:      
The roadway is being redesigned to accommodate construction for upcoming utility work.

Detour
  • To access Byron Avenue pedestrians will travel westbound across the New Orchard Avenue North crosswalk, then southbound crossing the Richmond Road crosswalk, then following the pedestrian pathway provided and crossing southbound to the south sidewalk of Byron Avenue, as shown in the image above.
Accessibility
