Richardson Avenue - Long term closure

As part of the O-Train Extension project, Richardson Avenue will be closed to vehicles between Richmond Road and Byron Avenue.

What:   

Long-term Closure, Richardson Avenue, between Richmond Road and Byron Avenue.

When:        

Sunday September 11, 2022, until Sunday November 19, 2023.

Why:           

The closure of Richardson Avenue is required to facilitate construction of the Cut andCover Byron Tunnel in this area.

Where:      

Richardson Avenue between Richmond Road and Byron Avenue.

Anticipated Impacts

Motorists traveling northbound on Richardson Avenue will have to turn right onto Byron Avenue. There will be no access to Richardson Avenue southbound from Richmond Road. 

Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.

Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place, to ensure safety.

The construction work outlined in this notice is subject to change. Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
