October 30: Highway 174 Eastbound from Blair Road to Montreal Road - Overnight Full Closure
October 2023As part of the O-Train Extension project, motorists travelling Highway 174 eastbound between Blair Road and Montreal Road should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.
What:
Full closure of Highway 174 eastbound between Blair Road and Montreal Road.
When:
Monday, October 30 at 10:00 p.m. until Tuesday, October 31 at 5:30 a.m.
Why:
Line painting.
Where:
Highway 174 eastbound between Blair Road and Montreal Road.
Motorists travelling eastbound on Highway 174 will exit at Blair Road and travel north to Ogilvie Road. They will then head east on Ogilvie Road to connect with Montreal Road. Turning right, they will travel east on Montreal Road to reconnect to Highway 174 eastbound at the Montreal Road interchange.
The construction work outlined in this notice is subject to change. Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Anticipated Impacts
- Site lighting will be in place for overnight work.
- Noise from equipment will be audible and some equipment may cause vibrations.
Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
