November 13 to December 31 - Highway 174 Eastbound Orléans Boulevard to Champlain Street - Off-Peak Lane Reduction

As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling Highway 174 eastbound from Orléans Boulevard to Champlain Street should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.

What:          
A lane reduction will be in place on eastbound Highway 174 between Orléans Boulevard and Champlain Street.

When:         
This closure will not be required every day, but will be in place most days. Motorists should anticipate this closure to be in place from November 13 to December 31, Monday to Friday from 7:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. the next day. The closure is scheduled to optimize working hours while avoiding impacts to the afternoon peak in the eastbound direction. 

Why:           
Crews are working to accelerate construction at Place d’Orléans Station and Convent Glen Station ahead of Overhead Catenary System installations.

Where:          
Highway 174 eastbound between Orléans Boulevard and Champlain Street.

The construction work outlined in this notice is subject to change. Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Anticipated Impacts

Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
