Nov 6 - Dec 29: Highway 174 Westbound - Champlain Street to Orléans Boulevard - Lane Reduction

As part of the O-Train Extension project, motorists travelling Highway 174 westbound from Champlain Street to Orléans Boulevard should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.

What:

A lane reduction will be in place on westbound Highway 174 between Champlain Street and Orléans Boulevard.

When:

This closure will not be required every day, but will be in place most days. Motorists should anticipate this closure to be in place from November 6 to December 29, Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. the next day.

Why:

Crews are working to accelerate construction at Place d’Orléans Station and Convent Glen Station ahead of Overhead Catenary System installations. With limited space available, crews must work from the highway.

Where:

Highway 174 westbound between Champlain Street and Orléans Boulevard.

The construction work outlined in this notice is subject to change. Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Anticipated Impacts

Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
