Notice of Overnight Road Closure: Richmond Road at McEwen Avenue
As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, a full closure of Richmond Road at McEwen Avenue will be required. Detours will be in effect. Local access will be maintained and all residents in the area will continue to have driveway access during this work.
What:
Full closure of Richmond Road at McEwen Avenue.
When:
Sunday, November 24 at 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Monday, November 25.
Why:
Relocation of temporary concrete barriers (TCBs).
Where:
Richmond Road at McEwen Avenue.
Detour:
EASTBOUND Motorists travelling eastbound on Richmond Road will detour onto McEwen Avenue, travel east along Ambleside Drive, travel south along New Orchard Avenue and then re-enter Richmond Road.
WESTBOUND Motorists travelling westbound on Richmond Road will detour onto New Orchard Avenue, travel west along Ambleside Drive, travel south along McEwen Avenue and then re-enter Richmond Road.
Anticipated Impacts
Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place, to ensure safety.
The safety of the public and workers is paramount, and we thank you for your patience during construction.
