June 24 to the End of September - Upcoming Impacts to Montreal Road at Highway 174
Our contractor has determined a way to work on two stages of work at this intersection simultaneously, allowing work to be maximized during the summer. This will allow crews to be off the road earlier in the fall when traffic volumes are significantly higher than the summer and will deliver the improved infrastructure sooner than if stages were not completed simultaneously. While crews complete this work, Montreal Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction at the Highway 174 interchange, using the outside lanes.
What:
Montreal Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction at the Highway 174 interchange. Access to all ramps will be maintained.
When:
Monday, June 24 until the end of September.
Why:
Construction of final intersection configuration including sidewalks, MUP, median island, traffic signals, traffic attenuators, line painting, and more.
Where:
Montreal Road at the Highway 174 interchange.
The construction work outlined in this notice is subject to change. Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
