June 14-17 - Highway 174 Westbound and Eastbound between Trim Road and Cameron Street - Weekend Full Closure

As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling westbound and eastbound on Highway 174 between Trim Road and Cameron Street should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.

What:     
Full closure of Highway 174 westbound and eastbound between Trim Road and Cameron Street.

When:    
Friday, June 14 at 7:00 p.m. to Monday, June 17 at 5:30 a.m.

Why:      
Ditch excavation, grading for flatworks, manhole adjustments, closed circuit television (CCTV) inspections, and ditch sloping.

Where:   
Highway 174 westbound and eastbound between Trim Road and Cameron Street.

The construction work outlined in this notice is subject to change. Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Detours

Highway 174 Westbound

Motorists travelling westbound on Highway 174 east of Cameron Street will need to turn left onto Cameron Street and drive south to Old Montreal Road. They will then turn right and travel west to Trim Road. They will then turn right onto Trim Road, travel north, and follow Trim Road signage to reconnect to Highway 174 westbound.

Highway 174 Eastbound

Motorists travelling eastbound on Highway 174 will need to exit at Trim Road and travel south to Old Montreal Road. They will then turn left and drive east to Cameron Street. They will turn left at Cameron Street and travel north to reconnect to Highway 174 eastbound.

Anticipated Impacts
Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
