July 14-July 15: Notice of Overnight Closure on Kichi Zìbì Mikan

As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, crews and equipment will be performing road works on Kichi Zìbì Mikan (KZM) west of Island Park Drive, requiring an overnight road closure.
What:     
Full road closure west of Island Park Drive on KZM.
When:     
Sunday, July 14 at 10:30 p.m. until Monday, July 15 at 6:00 a.m. This schedule is subject to change.
Why:      
Temporary concrete barriers need to be relocated, requiring heavy equipment on the roadway.
Where:   
On KZM WEST of Island Park Drive, where the pedestrian underpass connects to Westboro Beach.

Anticipated Impacts
Detour: Motorists travelling eastbound will exit KZM at Woodroffe Avenue, travelling south to Richmond Road, then eastbound on Richmond Road to Island Park Drive. Motorists travelling westbound will exit at Island Park Drive, travel southbound to Richmond Road, westbound on Richmond Road to Woodroffe Avenue, and southbound to KZM.
Site lighting will be directed away from residences and point at the work zone.
Heavy equipment will be used to execute the work.
Broadband back-up alarms will be used on all vehicles.
