Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard Northbound On-Ramp to Westbound Highway 174 - Closure
As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling on Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard at Highway 174 should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.
What:
Closure of the northbound Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard on-ramp to westbound Highway 174.
When:
Friday, September 13 at 7:00 a.m. until Friday, September 20 at 5:00 p.m.
Why:
Grading and flatworks.
Where:
Highway 174 at Jeanne d’Arc interchange.
The construction work outlined in this notice is subject to change. Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Detours
Motorists can access Highway 174 westbound at the Place d’Orléans / Champlain Street interchange or the Montreal Road interchange. Motorists are encouraged to cross Highway 174 at the Place d’Orléans / Champlain Street interchange to avoid lane reductions frequently in place on Orléans Boulevard.
Anticipated Impacts
Residents near the interchange can expect the following construction activities to take place:
- Excavators and graders will be used for construction. Noise from equipment will be audible and some equipment may cause vibrations.
- Trucks will deliver and remove material from site. Noise from equipment and moving of material will be audible.
- Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
- Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place to ensure safety.
