Hwy 174 Westbound at Blair Road - Lane Reduction - Nov. 2
As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling Highway 174 westbound should anticipate impacts to traffic due to an emergency response training exercise.
What:
A lane reduction will be in place on westbound Highway 174 to the east of Blair Road.
When:
Saturday, November 2 from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Why:
Emergency response training exercise.
Where:
Highway 174 westbound at Blair Road.
The closure outlined in this notice is subject to change and may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Anticipated Impacts
Motorists and pedestrians in the area may see an increased presence of first responder vehicles and/or buses staged on westbound Highway 174, as well as first responder activity on the LRT guideway to the east of Blair Road. Please note that this activity is related to an emergency response training exercise and there is no danger to the public or cause for alarm.
Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
