As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling on Highway 174 between Tenth Line Road and Cameron Street should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.

What:     
Full closure of Highway 174 eastbound between Tenth Line Road and Cameron Street and westbound between Cameron Street and Trim Road.

When:    
Friday, October 4 at 7:00 p.m. until Monday, October 7 at 5:30 a.m.

Why:      
Final paving, electrical work, and earthworks.

Where:   
Highway 174 eastbound between Tenth Line Road and Cameron Street, and Highway 174 westbound between Cameron Street and Trim Road.

The construction work outlined in this notice is subject to change. Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Detours

Highway 174 Eastbound
Motorists travelling eastbound on Highway 174 will need to exit at Tenth Line Road and travel south to St. Joseph Boulevard. They will then turn left and drive east on St. Joseph Boulevard/Old Montreal Road to Cameron Street. They will turn left at Cameron Street and travel north to reconnect to Highway 174 eastbound.

Highway 174 Westbound
Motorists travelling westbound on Highway 174 east of Cameron Street will need to turn left onto Cameron Street and drive south to Old Montreal Road. They will then turn right and travel west to Tenth Line Road. They will then turn right onto Tenth Line Road, and travel north to reconnect to Highway 174 westbound.

Anticipated Impacts
Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
