As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling on Highway 174 westbound at Champlain Street should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.

What:     
Full closure of the westbound Highway 174 off-ramp to Champlain Street.

When:    
Friday, September 27 at 5:00 p.m. until Wednesday, October 2 at 5:00 p.m.

Why:      
Multiple scopes of work that includes flatworks, hauling out material, drainage work, excavation, and grading.

Where:   
The westbound Highway 174 off-ramp to Champlain Street.

The construction work outlined in this notice is subject to change. Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Detour
Motorists travelling on westbound Highway 174 looking to exit at Champlain Street will continue to Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard. They will exit the Highway and drive north on Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard. They will travel east until they connect to Champlain Street.

Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.

Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place, to ensure safety.
