Highway 174 Westbound from Trim Road to Tenth Line Road - Full Closure

As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling Highway 174 westbound between Trim Road and Tenth Line Road should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.

What:          
Full closure of Highway 174 westbound between Trim Road and Tenth Line Road.

When:         
Friday, August 9 at 10:00 p.m. until Monday, August 12 at 5:30 a.m.

Why:           
Excavation, hauling of material, and slope finishing.

Where:        
Highway 174 westbound between Trim Road and Tenth Line Road.

The construction work outlined in this notice is subject to change. Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Detour
Motorists travelling westbound on Highway 174 east of Trim Road will exit at Trim Road and travel south through the traffic circle to St. Joseph Boulevard. They will then turn right and head west on St. Joseph Boulevard to Tenth Line Road. Turning right they will drive north on Tenth Line Road and reconnect to Highway 174 westbound at the Tenth Line Road interchange. Motorists travelling southbound on Trim Road north of the highway will use this same detour.

Motorists travelling northbound on Trim Road, south of the highway, will continue north to Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard. They will turn left on to Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard and travel west to Tenth Line Road. Turning left, they will travel south on Tenth Line Road to connect to Highway 174 westbound at the Tenth Line Road interchange.

Anticipated Impacts
Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
