Update: Highway 174 - Place d’Orléans Drive to Trim Road - Overnight Closures
The milling work between Place d’Orléans Drive and Tenth Line Road is complete. Crews will now be working to mill the section of the Highway between Tenth Line Road and Trim Road.
As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling Highway 174 eastbound from Tenth Line Road to Trim Road should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.
What:
Over the past week, crews have been implementing overnight full closures of eastbound Highway 174 between Place d’Orléans Drive and Trim Road, completed in two stages to limit impacts to traffic.
Crews have finished the milling work between Place d'Orleans Drive and Tenth Line Road, and are starting milling operations between Tenth Line Road and Trim Road. Overnight full closures of eastbound Highway 174 will be in place between Tenth Line Road and Trim Road during this work.
When:
Thursday, September 19, Friday, September 20 and Monday, September 23 between 8:00 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. each night.

The construction work outlined in this notice is subject to change. Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Detour
Highway 174 eastbound full closure Tenth Line Road to Trim Road.
Motorists travelling eastbound on Highway 174 will need to exit at Tenth Line Road and drive south to St. Joseph Boulevard. They will then turn left onto St. Joseph Boulevard and travel east to the roundabout at Trim Road. They will use the roundabout to take Trim Road north to reconnect to Highway 174 eastbound.
Anticipated Impacts
Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
Please note that eastbound Highway 174 is closed between Place d’Orléans Drive and Trim Road over the weekend of September 20-23 as crews work to pave the areas that have been milled.
