Highway 174 Eastbound under Orléans Boulevard Overpass - Overnight Closure
As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling Highway 174 eastbound at Orleans Boulevard should anticipate mobility impacts.
What:
Highway 174 eastbound will be closed overnight between Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard and Champlain Street while crews work on the Highway under the Orléans Boulevard overpass. The Highway 174 eastbound on-ramps from northbound and southbound Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard will also be closed.
When:
Wednesday, January 22 at 9:00 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. the following day.
Why:
Crane set-up for lifting equipment out of Convent Glen Station.
Where:
Highway 174 eastbound from Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard to Champlain Street.
Detour
Motorists travelling eastbound on Highway 174 will exit at Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard, turn left to travel north and then east on Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard. They will turn right on Champlain Street and travel south to Place d’Orléans Drive. Turning left, they will then re-enter Highway 174 using the eastbound Place d’Orléans on-ramp.
Alternatively, motorists travelling eastbound on Highway 174 will exit at Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard and travel south on Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard to St. Joseph Boulevard. They will turn left on to St. Joseph Boulevard and travel east to Place d’Orléans Drive. Turning left, they will travel north and reconnect to Highway 174 eastbound using the Place d’Orléans on-ramp.
Anticipated Impacts
Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
