As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling Highway 174 eastbound should anticipate mobility impacts.

What: Highway 174 eastbound will be closed overnight between Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard and Place d’Orléans while crews work on the Highway under the Orléans Boulevard overpass. The Highway 174 eastbound on-ramps from northbound and southbound Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard will also be closed.

When:    Wednesday, January 8 and Thursday, January 9 at 10:00 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. the following day.

Why:  Removal of temporary structures and equipment from Convent Glen Station.

Where:  Highway 174 eastbound from Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard to Place d’Orléans.

Detour
Motorists travelling eastbound on Highway 174 will exit at Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard, turn right to travel south on Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard towards St. Joseph Boulevard, use the roundabout to travel east on St. Joseph Boulevard, and then re-enter Highway 174 using the eastbound Place d’Orléans Drive
on-ramp.

Alternatively, motorists travelling eastbound on Highway 174 will exit at Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard, turn left to travel north and then turn right to travel east on Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard to Champlain Street, and then travel south on Champlain Street to Place d’Orléans Drive. They will turn left on Place d’Orléans Drive and reconnect to Highway 174 using the eastbound Place d’Orléans Drive on-ramp.

Anticipated Impacts
Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
