As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling on Montreal Road/St. Joseph Boulevard at the Highway 174 interchange should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.

What:          
Closure of the on-ramp to Highway 174 eastbound from westbound St. Joseph Boulevard.

When:         
Friday, October 18 at 7:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. on Monday, October 21.

Why:           
Electrical work.

Where:        
Montreal Road/St. Joseph Boulevard at Highway 174.

The construction work outlined in this notice is subject to change. Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Detour
To connect to Highway 174 eastbound, motorists can travel east on St. Joseph Boulevard to the traffic circle at Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard. They will then travel north and connect to Highway 174 eastbound at the Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard interchange.  

Alternatively, motorists travelling westbound on St. Joseph Boulevard can merge on to Highway 174 westbound at the Montreal Road interchange. They can then travel west and exit at Blair Road, turn left, and drive south on Blair Road before taking the Highway 174 on-ramp to connect to Highway 174 eastbound.

Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.

Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place to ensure safety.
