As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling on eastbound Montreal Road trying to access Highway 174 eastbound should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.

What:          
The on-ramp to Highway 174 eastbound from eastbound Montreal Road will be closed.

When:         
Friday, October 4 at 7:00 a.m. until Thursday, October 10 at 5:00 p.m.

Why:           
Flatworks, drainage work, and hydroseeding.

Where:        
Montreal Road at Highway 174.

The construction work outlined in this notice is subject to change. Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Detour
Motorists can travel east on St. Joseph Boulevard to the traffic circle at Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard. They will then travel north and connect to Highway 174 eastbound at the Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard interchange.

Alternatively, motorists can take Highway 174 westbound at the Montreal Road interchange. They will then travel west and exit at Blair Road, turn left, and drive south on Blair Road. They will then take the Highway 174 on-ramp to connect to Highway 174 eastbound.

Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.

Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place to ensure safety.
