Highway 174 Eastbound from Champlain to Trim - Overnight Full Closure
As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling Highway 174 eastbound from Place d’Orléans Drive to Trim Road should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.
What:
A full closure of eastbound Highway 174 between Place d’Orléans Drive and Trim Road. The Place d’Orléans Drive on-ramp and the St. Joseph Boulevard on-ramp to eastbound Highway 174 will also be closed.
When:
Thursday, September 26 at 9:00 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Friday, September 27.
Why:
Overhead sign installation.
Where:
Highway 174 eastbound between Place d’Orléans Drive and Trim Road.
The construction work outlined in this notice is subject to change. Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Detour
Motorists travelling eastbound on Highway 174 will need to exit at Place d’Orléans and drive south to St. Joseph Boulevard. They will then turn left onto St. Joseph Boulevard, and travel east to the roundabout at Trim Road. They will use the roundabout to take Trim Road north to reconnect to Highway 174 eastbound.
Anticipated Impacts
Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
