As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling on Highway 174 at the Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard interchange should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.

What:          
Highway 174 at the Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard interchange will be fully closed in one direction for two consecutive weekends. Some Highway 174 on-ramps from Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard will also be closed. Motorists will exit the Highway and cross Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard to rejoin the Highway.

When:         
Saturday, November 2 at 5:30 a.m. to Monday, November 4 at 5:30 a.m.:

  • Highway 174 westbound will be closed along with the westbound on-ramp from northbound Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard.

Saturday, November 9 at 5:30 a.m. to Monday, November 11 at 5:30 a.m.:

  • Highway 174 eastbound will be closed along with the eastbound on-ramp from southbound Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard.
  • Why:      
    Structure works on Jeanne d’Arc Station and bridge.
  • Where:        
    Highway 174 at Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard.

The construction work outlined in this notice is subject to change. Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Detour (Westbound)

Motorists travelling westbound on Highway 174 will exit at Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard, continue through the intersection at the end of the exit ramp and then re-enter Highway 174 using the westbound Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard on-ramp.

Detour (Eastbound)
Motorists travelling eastbound on Highway 174 will exit at Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard, continue through the intersection at the end of the exit ramp and then re-enter Highway 174 using the eastbound Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard on-ramp.

Anticipated Impacts
Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
