First seven-metre minibus for Para Transpo arrives

We're happy to introduce the first of our new seven-metre minibuses for Para Transpo! This vehicle arrived in Ottawa in February. Since then, it has been going through inspections and testing. Para Transpo operators will also have the opportunity to get comfortable with the vehicle before it goes into service.

What's inside
The new seven-metre minibus has the following features:
- Up to 10 seats
- Up to three wheelchair spots
- O-Payment readers
- Air conditioning
Security features:
- Individual seatbelts for all customers
- Stability belts to secure your mobility device
- Slip-resistant side and back door ramps
- Onboard security cameras



Accessibility features
For easier boarding, the vehicle has:
- Low floor and kneeling
- Side ramp for mobility devices up to 34 inches wide and 1000 pounds
- Back ramp for mobility devices up to 34 inches wide and 800 pounds


What's next?
In total, we'll be receiving six units of six-metre minibuses and 76 units of seven-metre minibuses for the Para Transpo fleet.
We expect to receive the second seven-metre minibus soon, with more on the way. We're also expecting the rest of the six-metre minibuses to arrive by early summer.
