Para Transpo customers can now text 57272 (or 5PARA) to connect with OC Transpo Customer Service representatives from 6 am to 12:30 am every day. With 57272, our Customer Service Representatives are just a text away!

Text us to:

  • Find out the estimated arrival time of your Para Transpo vehicle
  • Make a direct cancellation for an upcoming trip
  • Ask general questions about Para Transpo service

Standard rates apply. Depending on your phone plan, these may include an extra fee to use the short code (57272). 

Bookings, fit-in requests or other changes to trips cannot be done through text at this time. Instead, use My Para Transpo or call us at 613-560-5000.

How does it work?

Send a text message to 57272.

You’ll be prompted to answer a series of automated questions, including language and service selection.

You’ll then be connected to a Customer Service Representative.

If a Customer Service Representative is not available right away, you will be updated regularly until the live chat begins.

The messaging session will remain open for five minutes following the first reply from a Customer Service Representative. Make sure to respond within five minutes or your session will close.

Using live text will reduce phone wait times, improving customer service efficiency for all customers.

This service is a great option for customers who may have difficulty speaking with a Customer Service Representative, or who would simply prefer not to. Customers who are Deaf or hard of hearing may also prefer this service instead of contacting us through video relay services.
