Champlain Street Interchange - Lane and Ramp Closures

As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling Highway 174 eastbound at the Place d’Orléans Drive/Champlain Street Interchange should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.

What:          
Highway 174 eastbound lane reduction at Place d’Orléans Drive/Champlain Street interchange. The on-ramp from Place d’Orléans Drive to eastbound Highway 174 and the off-ramp from eastbound Highway 174 at Tenth Line Road will also be closed.

When:         
Saturday, September 14 between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.     

Why:         
Crane set-up for delivery and installation of material.

Where:        
Highway 174 eastbound at the Place d’Orléans Drive/Champlain Street Interchange.

The construction work outlined in this notice is subject to change. Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Detours
Motorists travelling eastbound on Highway 174 can access Place d’Orléans Drive / Champlain Street by exiting at the Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard or Trim Road interchanges and travelling on St. Joseph Boulevard.

Anticipated Impacts
Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
