B2 service frequency adjustments starting Feb 10 to better match rider demand
More customers are transitioning to O-Train Line 2. We’re adjusting the B2 parallel bus service to better match ridership levels.
B2 is a temporary bus service running alongside Line 2Line 2between Bayview and South Keys stations. It provides an alternative transit option during the transition to full-week O-Train service.
Starting February 10, the frequency of B2 buses will be reduced from Monday to Saturday.
This frequency adjustment does not impact bus routes serving stations between South Keys and Limebank or those connecting to the Airport.
What’s changing?
On February 10, here’s what’s changing:
- Monday to Saturday: B2 buses will run approximately twice an hour throughout the day, reduced from about four trips per hour.
- Sunday service: No changes—B2 will continue running every 15 minutes.
- Plan your trip: Updated schedules will be available on the Travel Planner and Transit app.
Why the change?
Since the launch of O-Train Lines 2 and 4, we have been monitoring ridership closely. Data shows that over two-thirds of customers who previously used Line 2 buses now travel by train.
We’re adjusting B2 service based on this trend to use our resources effectively while still providing transit options during the transition period.
You can continue using the more frequent service on Lines 2& 4, or the supporting bus service.

O-Train service disruptions
If O-Train Line 2is disrupted, you can use the parallel bus service B2 from Bayview to South Keys. Additional buses will be deployed to supplement service and provide extra capacity for customers.
