April 12-15 - Highway 174 Eastbound between Champlain Street and Trim Road - Full Weekend Closure
As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling Highway 174 eastbound from Champlain Street to Trim Road should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.
What:
A full closure will be in place on eastbound Highway 174 between Champlain Street and Trim Road.
When:
Friday, April 12 at 7 p.m. until Monday, April 15 at 6 a.m.
Why:
Ditch excavation, slope finishing and line painting.
Where:
Highway 174 eastbound between Champlain Street and Trim Road.
The construction work outlined in this notice is subject to change. Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Detour
Motorists will exit eastbound Highway 174 at Place d’Orléans and travel south to St. Joseph Boulevard. They will then turn left and travel eastbound on St. Joseph Boulevard to Trim Road before using the roundabout to travel north and rejoin Highway 174 at the Trim Road interchange.
Anticipated Impacts
Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
