Ottawa University is conveniently located next to the Campus Station and Laurier Station on the Transitway. Commuting to Ottawa U is no problem whether you're living on or off campus.

High frequency Transitway routes 95, 96, 97 and 98 provide rapid transit service from across the city to downtown and connect with other routes in communities and the O-Train.

  • Route 94 is your connection along Innes from south Orléans and Blackburn Hamlet.
  • Route 95 is your connection from the east (St. Laurent, Blair, Orléans) and west (Lincoln Fields, Baseline, Nepean). VIA Train Station is a short five minute ride from campus.
  • Route 96 is your connection from the far west (Lincoln Fields, Bayshore, Kanata, Stittsville).
  • Route 97 is just 20 minutes to the airport and is your connection from the west (Lincoln Fields and Bayshore) and the south (Billings Bridge, South Keys), which is also served by routes 98 and 99 .

Other Routes that serve Campus Station


Routes 20 - 99 travel along the Transitway through Campus and Laurier Stations, situated on the western edge of campus near the Rideau Canal.

Routes 1 - 19 travel nearby on Rideau Street (except Route 8 on the Mackenzie King Bridge).

To get to the Smyth Campus, take Route 16 along Laurier, King Edward or Somerset. Campus is also served by Route 106 from Hurdman Station - a major transfer point.

Black routes are usually available 7 days a week all day.

Red routes are available peak hours only and require regular fare.

Green routes are available peak hours only and require express fare. (Rural Express Routes
require rural express fare )

Peak hours in the a.m. are approx. 6 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., in the afternoons approx. 3:30 to 6 p.m.

Peak routes usually run in one direction in the a.m. and return in the p.m.

Student Photo ID 

An Ottawa University student wishing to purchase an OC Transpo student photo ID must provide the following: 

Students on the "Info Web" can print their Student Account Summary, Official Tuition Receipt ( stating student is fulltime ) or they can request a letter on the Universities letterhead confirming their full time status.

Ottawa University does provide us with a list of fulltime students. If a student has proper identification and their name appears on the list provided to us, no other documentation is required.

All of the above documentation must be presented with proper photo ID such as a student card, drivers license or passport.

Students 18 years and younger must show student identification and/or proof of age. Students who appear older than 18 will be asked to provide proof of age.
