Summer Transit Service

On Sunday, June 21, new summer schedules go into effect on most routes to reflect the reduced demand for service in the summer.


New timetables: You should obtain a new timetable for most peak period and express routes as well as the following routes: 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 12, 14, 18, 85, 86, 87, 95, 96, 97, 98, 101/102, 105, 106, 116, 118, 121, 124, 126, 127, 128, 129, 140, 146, 147, 148, 149, 152, 156, 166, 168, 172 and 316.

Revised Service from August 31 - September 4

 

A revised schedule will operate from August 31 - September 4. The revised schedules mainly affect express and peak period routes and extra rush hour trips on regular routes, which may be adjusted by a few minutes.

New school trips will also be implemented from August 31 - September 4.

The revised schedules will be available on-line in August.
 

  

Family DayPass Values

 

Your family can take transit to holiday activities with one DayPass. On Canada Day and the Ontario Civic holiday, Saturdays, Sundays, and other statutory holidays, a family can use one DayPass and get unlimited travel for the day. A family includes up to six people, with a maximum of two who are 12 or older.

The DayPass costs $7 when paid with cash and/or tickets on the bus (exact change).
 

  

Fare Reminders

  
  • New fare prices go into effect on July 1.
     
  • Students must now be 27 years or under to qualify for an OC Transpo student ID card.
     
  • Starting July 1, orange 95¢ tickets and green $1 tickets will expire and no longer be accepted on the bus. Pink 2009 tickets will be accepted until December 31, 2009. Use up your old tickets before they expire or exchange them at an OC Transpo Sales Centre for their face value toward the purchase of new yellow tickets or a pass.
     
  • If your child is 11 or younger, but looks older, get a FREE child ID card so they can take advantage of the reduced child’s fare.
     
  • Write your photo ID number onto your pass — without this number, it’s not valid.

St. Laurent Station Renovations –
June 21- August 29

 

The local platform on the upper level at St. Laurent Station will be closed for maintenance and rehabilitation work from June 21 to August 29 inclusive. All buses will be detoured to the lower level of the station. Temporary bus stops will be installed on St. Laurent Blvd. southbound next to the station, and across the street at the corner of the bus roadway. ...details

The elevators will also be replaced and may be unavailable for a period of time, which will be posted on the web site.

During the rehabilitation work, the St. Laurent Sales and Information Centre will remain open, except for the period from July 1 to 26. The St. Laurent Sales Centre will also be open on Saturday, June 27, and Saturday, August 1, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
 

  

Chaudière Detour –
Revised June 21

 

Starting Sunday, June 21, Routes 8, 88 and 105 will once again operate via the Chaudière Bridge and will no longer loop around the War Museum.

Rideau Street Detour –
July 6 to August 28

 

Routes 7, 12, 14, 15, 18, 306 and 316 will be on detour from July 6 until approximately August 28 due to the closure of the intersection at Rideau Street and King Edward for repairs.
