Seniors on the Move - Transit tips for seniors 

OC Transpo no longer offers free conventional transit service for customers using a wheelchair, scooter or walker.

A discounted 'Community Transit' pass is  available which reduces the cost of transit by more than 60% for people with disabilities who also have a low family income.

Designated Accessible
Bus Routes

Most regular "black" routes use fully-accessible low floor buses.

Please note: some trips each day may use non-accessible buses.

Additional Bus Routes which provide some accessible service 

Trips on certain routes are scheduled with low floor buses. These routes may only have a few accessible trips on either weekdays, Saturdays and/or Sundays.

Please keep in mind that these accessible trips are subject to low floor vehicle availability.

Para TranspoPara Transpo is a door to door transportation service for persons with disabilities, which prevent them from being able to use OC Transpo's regular, fixed-route transit service.

Introducing the Taxi Coupon Pilot Program, which allows registered Para Transpo customers to take discounted taxi service as an alternative to Para Transpo. A Para Transpo Photo ID is required.

O-TrainThe low-floor trains and stations are fully-accessible, but you must be able to get to and from the station.

The O-Train is FREE for all registered Para Transpo customers, but you must be able to provide your registration number upon request.

Use the centre doors

There is a designated accessible area on the train, located just inside the centre doors, that can accommodate approximately four mobility aids. This space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The priority seating area is also just inside the centre doors.
